Hit wrong button,what is the best way to prepare aluminum for painting.Does it need to be etched with something,Want to paint my rear seat ,and roof frame

Sand it good and prime it with a self etching primer

Not the cheapest route , but nason 2k urethane will stick to bare aluminum and fiberglass suprisingly well. It's almost like a modern imron. Exellent uv protection also.
