89 ez go starter/generator not charging
89 EZ-GO gas Robin engine not charging, I've removed the starter/generator took it to a starter shop they checked it and said it's working. It does start up the motor but it doesn't charge I took the green wire going to starter DF and ground the regulator side to the frame and it's still not charging. I have checked all the wires coming off the starter/generator and they're all wired right. So what else can I check ?? I'm at a loss now I'd appreciate any help from anyone it's just sitting there and I want to ride it. Thank you

I tried pulling that green wire off the starter/generator and burned it up I've replaced it but I'm still not seeing over 12 volts from the starter/generator. This is killing my back how do yall do it all day ????
