Default 2005 Yamaha G22 48 vdc for $1300 good buy?

2005 Yamaha G22 48 volt for $1300 a decent buy. Seller states needs batteries. The cart would be stock no rear seat or lights.
I have been told ezgo and club cars are better but prices for those are pricier.

For $1300 it's kind of high to then turn around and spend $6-800 on batteries. Also if the old ones aren't present, you'll have to pay the core charges also

If the cart were a little more optioned up, I would jump on it. But stock "everything" & no lights means more expenses. The G22 is a great cart tho. Great chassis, suspension, steering, & axle, plus easy to work on. Some had weaker motors & controllers, but that's a common upgrade anyway.
