G1 won't run in reverse.
Hi all my 1981 g1 runs in forward but not reverse. It will turn over in reverse just no spark. Thank everyone

Start by Checking and clean connections coming out of the stator , cdi and the key switch

Check for power at the reverse solenoid when in reverse. You should have power at the main big lug coming right from the battery. Then you should have power coming from the reverse switch to a smaller wire. Then you should have power coming out of the solenoid going to the starter/gen.

So I pulled the ignition out. Wiggled it and it fired in reverse. It will always turn over but no spark in reverse. When I giggled it it took off. So I ordered a switch
