Put the old carb back in
readjusted the valves to .004" adjusted the throttle linkage and starter switch. a little popping at start but starts reliably. |

Sounds like issue was linkage related and could be a creaked carb spacer.

It was neither but I solved the problem the old fashion way.
I sold it. Sometimes its better to just admit defeat and let someone else try to figure it out. Thanks for your patience and input. |
