Yamaha g16 clutch replacement
My primary clutch started sticking real bad so I replaced it with a aftermarket clutch, Now it goes a lot slower.
Can I rebuild my old clutch or can I just clean it real good and put it back on. It doesn't look like it has anything broken it just keeps sticking and doesn't like to open and close. If I can clean it should I spray it with any kind of lubricant? |

Re: Yamaha g16 clutch replacement
Remove the phillip head bolts and take the dust cover off. Operate the clutch by hand too see what is sticking, could be old gummed up grease. This also helped me realize how my primary works. There should be a zerk fitting on the dust cover side of the primary clutch. Only use 1-2 pumps of grease or you will have a huge mess.
