no low/slow speed
I want to use my cart for spraying roundup on my road ways ....have put a boomless sprayer on back but my cart is too fast....wondering if someone along the way has done something to cause this....(my cart spent 5-6 years in a nursery- with several people tinkering with it)...please look at my control box and let me know if I can adjust this....my foot pedal seems too touchy- comes on really quick with me pushing down the pedal (with in first 1" of pedal movement) and like I said only fast and faster....no slow speed....anyway to get a slow crawl with these carts?
any help will be appreciated! |

Re: no low/slow speed
Got to the link in the thread below. Sounds like the governor needs to be adjusted. Someone may have also disconnected the rev limiter, so check that.

Re: no low/slow speed
adjust some slack into the acelleration cable in the pic at the entry into the black box .... and try the shorter belt torque improvement... that should help it move slower better

Re: no low/slow speed
You want to adjust the linkage so the starting micro switch starts the motor spinning before the throttle starts to open.
That way you have full throttle response from closed to WOT. Make sure the throttle plate in the carb is not being held open when your pedal is not pressed. |

Re: no low/slow speed
was busy today....pulled the gas tank and cleaned it out....had too much trash in my fuel filters....changed oil in the rearend.....so did not get to take the cart out with all the changes....will finish up my other projects tomorrow and see if my adjustments have made the difference...looks like the wind is going to lay down this weekend and with only 30% chance of rain I may get to spray my land! thanks for all the suggestions.
