Re: G16 Speaker Solution, Cheap and Easy
SPRIDDLE,
After using the speakers for a little while now I noticed the bass would make a pinging noise. I found this came from the top of the paint cans. I cut the bottoms out for the speakers because of the way the tops are made. This left the removable can top on the other end to access the speakers wire etc. This TOP is where the ping came from. Imagine flicking a paint can top with your finger, this is the noise I was getting. SOLUTION: I put a bit of electrical tape on a flat screw driver to remove the tops without damaging the paint. I took both tops and layered them with Gorilla/Duct tape. I probably put 10 layers on the inside of each top. Just small pieces back and forth on the inside. Took 5 minutes and now the sound is great, no high pitch ping. Im REALLY HAPPY with the final product!! Good Luck and hope this helps... |
