Possible but I think a crack would be a constant issue. (unless it gets hot and opens up?)

Yelilly, just for chitsngiggles lets try something, stick a piece of fuel line down in a 1 gallon/5 gallon, whatever size of gas can and connect to the fuel pump then try it.
I'm wondering if there might be a crack in the pick up tube or elbow toward the top of the tank that would be allowing an air leak or possible clogged tank vent.

Heck, I've had a piece of the clear cigarette pack celophane floating around in a tank that would get sucked to the pick up tube, shut it down and then float away when it stopped running.
Talk about driving a soul to take a drink!!

Sorry for the long time between replies, been at camp. Well just out of desperation, I put a used coil I had on it, solved the problem. B.U. sold me a bad coil I guess, Purrs like a kitten now. Thanks everyone for the help, I'm sure you will be hearing from me again. You guys are great on here.
