Yamaha clutch weight rebuild
I am rebuilding the clutch on a g2 (I think)
I purchased the weight links x 3. each pack contains link weight, 4 washers (2 small thin, 2 thick) and a steel collar, resides between the plates rivited to weight My problem is: Do the washers (2 thin, 2 thick) belong together on the posts attached the sheave. The small collar that fills the gap between the plates rivited to the weights has approx 2mm gap, my old clutch has a snug fitting collar. So I am wondering if the smaller thinner washers are designed to fill this gap. Leaving the larger, thicker washer between the posts attached the sheave. I hope this is understandable. This is my first cart I got given in pieces so i am going into this with no experience. Thanks Mal |

Re: Yamaha clutch weight rebuild
Mal, somebody will be by shortly to help you out. I did mine a year ago, but I don't recall the washer/spacers your talking about.
Just stand by. Welcome to the sight! Mike |

Thin washers are for the weight end that attatchs to the spider , large ones go on the weight end that attatchs to the floating flange. Remember to use loctite on the set screws. Good luck |
