Thinking about buying 98 club car 36v 6 passenger

need some advice. im looking at buying a golf cart from this guy, its a 98 6 passenger cart. he tells me its a 36v system and runs good and the batteries hold a good charge. can anyone tell me what i should be looking at or for when i go and look at this cart? he is about 2.5 hours away so i wanna make sure its a good buy. below is a pic, can anyone tell me anything about it by looking at the picture? ie; model, anything like that. any help is appreciated!

a 36 Volt 6 passenger huh? Never heard of it. I'd double check that. If it truly is a 36 Volt I'd stay away from it. With all of that extra weight I'd be scared of all the heat it's going to generate. You'll have burnt up cables, melted F&R switches, Blown solenoids left and right, and the resistor coil could potentially start a fire if it gets too hot.

hey the guy sent me more pictures. im thinking it is a 48v system because i was looking at the wiring diagrams. the diagrams for a 36v system only shows the batteries with 1 terminal post, 48v with 2 post like a normal car battery looking. these batteries have the 2 posts. if its a 48v system is it an alright cart? thanks again

All batteries have two posts... the 36 volt system has 6 volt batteries and you'll notice that the posts are diagonal from each other while the 8 Volt batteries of a 48V system have the posts on the same side.

Its always a good idea to test drive it in the conditions you intend to use. If you have hills then try it out on a hill, include passengers. After driving, lift the seat and touch components/wires/motor and check for heat. Check battery dates, new set is expensive.
