Default Adding Battery to Melex 512 for Aux electronics

Hey guys.
Just recieved a Melex 512e
No clue on what it is exactly or what year it is; but I plan on tearing it down, redoing all the stuff that's wrong on it, some body work; maybe lift it if I can, then do a full audio system and lights to show off my business.

That being said, what's the best way to add an auxillary battery to this without messing with the overall voltage of the 6 batteries to are used to run it?

I will more than likely put an isolator switch on it, so it doesn't drain the cart when it's off; but after that, I'm kind of lost.

If there are any helpful threads on here that are Melex specific, you can just direct me there; or if my setup is comparable to other major brands, that would help too.
I've already started looking at vintage golf carts for parts and whatnot, but is there any other cart parts that are NOT Melex that will fit this thing?

Thanks in advance, I know, lots of questions.

Thanks!!

A few EZGO marathon parts will work but not to many, Ive looked all over for lifts on them, never found one, that would be a custom modification, good luck with everything!

Cartmann32 if you want to "just bolt on a lot of parts" you will be money ahead to start out with a Camry ie CC or EZgo. I have a 512e and have researched parts for a while. As Team Redesign Golf Carts said, ready made lift kits don't exist. The rear differential is like most other brands of carts, and the standard tricks should work to lift the rear. the front will most likely have to be custom welded. The long time experts on this site have an insane amount of knowledge and experience and might have a different take on the Aux power question. I would mount two 12 volt deep cycle battery's wired in parallel in the bag well and keep the cart drive system separate. Charging the aux battery's with a 12v charger. The body parts " ie" rubber bumpers on rear corners and across the nose will be hard but not impossible to find. Post photo's of your progress.

Thanks for all the info guys.

I was planning on custom making the lift and I'll be making all new panels out of fiberglass, if needed......definetly the dash...that thing has got to go.

So, thinking of how I do things in the car audio world; where adding a battery doesn't effect the way the car drives, I can't simply take some wire, run them off the positive and negatives, and use a switched isolator to have them charge when the batteries are charging and when the cart is off, have them not pull any from the main batteries.....ALL this while not messing with the needed voltage to run the cart?

I'm ok with having to recharge a seperate battery system to run my accessories, but I just would like to make it as streamlined as possible.
