Re: 2Ga. wire on a 2007 precedent
You list a stock motor and controller in your sig, with that in mind 4ga cable is more than enough and 2ga is overkill. You may not even notice a difference between the stock 6ga and any upgrade.

Re: 2Ga. wire on a 2007 precedent
You already have added extra load on your stock system by lifting and adding larger diameter tires, extra battery, so what is next? rear seat maybe? Question what setting are you at on controller #3-#4? "2 gauge for now is over kill" ( double the amperage of 4 gauge and 3 times the 6 gauge wiring amperage ) but look to the future and possible major changes and then what? I advise some wallet and soul searching for future changes and then deside what size to go with.

Re: 2Ga. wire on a 2007 precedent
Thanks all. No rear seat. I have a custom clays basket on the rear and a basic ice chest. The PQ motor is the answer to my next question. I load the cart in the back of my Ram 250 4x4 and D&D suggested a 400 amp controller- that requires 4ga.- solenoid - FR switch (as I understand). Since I can't afford all at once I guess the correct order would be.... 1-motor 2-wires 3-controller&FR switch ???? Sound about right to everyone!

Re: 2Ga. wire on a 2007 precedent
It will go up the ramp right now. I normally try to find a hill to drive the front tires of the truck up or a curb to back up against. When the cart breaks over the tailgate it's wide open to the toolbox/transfer tank.

Re: 2Ga. wire on a 2007 precedent
Got my 2 ga. Wire installed. I bought welding cable and terminals from welding shop. Cost $36.00ish. Ordered a hydraulic hand crimper from eBay $68.00 (plus I got a steamer) -- the hydraulic crimper is AWESOME!! Bought shrink tube $3.00. Got to use my heat gun. A very.very easy install. I really enjoyed the cart time. Feels a little stronger now. Question???? How large of controller can I use on stock motor?
