Can I run 72 volts on a 36 volt VGlide Resistor Cart??

P.S. There are 2 throttle positions where you can run as much amperage as you like thru a resistor cart .. they are wide open throttle (wot) and off. In these positions amperage is not flowing thru the resistors... I have driven them this way ~ (full throttle / coast / full throttle / coast...) it is fun until somebody else (wife, kids, friends) unknowingly melts your drive system down.

Ah I see what you mean. I wonder if there is a way to have 36 volts all the time and add an extra 20 or more only at WOT, like another microswitch and solenoid that kicks in at WOT only.

Oh yeah, it's been done. It's short of what is really needed. You can only use it WOT. Some members have had some fun with it. There is a diagram floating around the site somewhere.... And one member who posts about it every time somebody asks about an upgrade.
You'll have to search around for a 12v boost.

I will have to look for it. Maybe mine will be called 24 volt boost.

Yeah my brakes suck pretty bad. Brakes have to be an upgrade I do soon.
