Club Car Help
Charged the batteries on my electric 95 club car and realized the red dash light was coming on and off intermittently. I tried to drive the cart and it wouldn't drive fast. The next day I noticed the batteries were dead again. Any ideas?
Thanks |

Re: Club Car Help
Do you have a voltmeter? Can you give us some voltage readings? How about the battery age? I mean the only idea I have is bad batteries? Is the water levels correct? Did this start all of a sudden?
I think we need more info. |

Re: Club Car Help
Well, I was at the ranch one day and it was dead and wouldn't charge. First time this has happened. The voltage on the batteries were too low. I used a battery charger and manually charged the batteries until the voltage was high enough to use the cart charger. I then finished charging the batteries until they were fully charged and the charger shut off. I tired to drive it and it was not moving very fast. The cart can hit 30mph so I knew something was wrong.
I have Trojan batteries that are only 2 years old and the water levels are good. |

Re: Club Car Help
Drawing the batteries down to low can do irreversible damage resulting in compromised performance and usable life.
A battery meter of sorts may be your best investment |
