Default 1998 EZ-GO Gas Golf Cart

The driver side rear spring on my 98 ezgo gas cart has pushed back and has pushed the hanger all the way up against the frame, i cannot figure how it did this and i can't get it to stay back down when i prise it back down.
it was like this when i traded for the cart. any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks Kenb singtrio@toast.net

Sounds like maybe someone put the wrong spring on and it is longer, or it has lost it's arch, either way it is prob longer than the other side.

thanks rokerlr for your info. I changed the spring and compared it to the passenger side spring and they are the same length. after i replaced the spring i lowered the cart back down on the wheels and the spring did the same thing.
it pushed the hanger strait out and up into the frame. everything looks good unneath the cart and looks just like the passenger side. the only thing i havent tried is the shock. could this cause the problem? thanks for your information.

rokcrlr i worked out the spring problem on ez go 98 txt cart. some how the frame on that side had gotten sprung in and made the frame on that side short. so the spring was not pushing back like i thought. what i did was hook a come along to the front of the frame where the spring fastens and a come along to the back where the spring fastens and jacked it back to the original position. kenb
