Knuckle arms keep bending
I got a 96 g-16 with an All Sports 7" dbl. A-arm lift, 23" all trail tires on 12" 2-5 offset aluminum rims. The s shaped arms that connect the spindles to the tie rod ends keep bending on both sides. After buying a few and the same thing keeps happening, I'm thinking about either doubling them up or fanning some new ones out of a thicker guage of steel, their about a 1/4" thick now. I worry that if I do this I might make something else the weakest link, and have to pay a higher price for that part. Might I have done something wrong when I installed the lift or is this part just not beefy enough for offroading?

Re: Knuckle arms keep bending
Need pictures, they should have very little stress on them. Check your instructions again to see they were installed correctly.
I have a Jakes lift, and mine see very little stress. |
