Caj, have you got the starter wired back wards?

Block, I think he put brushes in the starter, could he wire the starter backwards internally?

Or externally.

Sorry running is not the correct word. The starter is spinning the motor/clutch clockwise. Is that right????

Now follow that wire diagram. Make sure starter is wired correct. Hope you didn't wire the brushes incorrectly. If that is possible. i kinda don't think so.

Block asking if you switched the batt. cables, I wonder if you just switch them back if that will make it correct.

I'd follow that wire diagram on the starter connections.

Well there's my problem WTH!!!!!! My father in law said that too he thought that it looked weird pushing on the transaxle instead of pulling. I guess the motor would have trouble running like that huh. OK now I gotta figure this out because the starter is wired right.....

It should spin the clutch towards the front of the cart right just clarifying before I pull the starter to see what I did

Probably what happened....on the starter brush end plate there is a jumper lead from the feild (F1) that goes to (A2), you probably have it on (A1). Youy negative battery cable should go to (A1) and the solenoid lead should go to the feild (F2). Hope thats it. Good luck

i hope so to Dave. I will pull the starter when I get home and check it out. Does anyone have the starter diagram with the posts labeled. There are no imprints labeled on mine. I just want to make sure.

Caj, F1 -A1 and all that are embossed or stamped onto the case or end plate. They are there if you look.

I was worried about polishing mine off when I polished my end plate, so I didn't polish it as much as the valve cover.
