finally one I can help with, Sho is right about crank seals. 4 strokes only need 2 things to run gas and spark. If it runs better with the choke partly out than your fuel air mixture is wrong. check for leaks and then clean carb. I use a sonic cleaner its the only way to know for sure you did everything you could to get all debri out of the ports. I have seen a cheap version at harbor frieght not sure how long it will last. I would also replace the plug even if it shows no signs.
