Default Rough clutch engagement

I'm a newbie here but I have run/and kept running snowmobiles (pervious life) and 150CC China scoots and Majesty400cc all with similar drive systems to that of my 99 TXT. I assume I need to remove the driving clutch assembly, take it apart and clean and lub and perhaps replace some parts.
I really works fine except it is impossible to get smooth starts.

Am I correct? I am a pretty good at taking it apart, figureing it out as I do and putting it back together guy but I am working with out a service manual(another concern) so I would like a little reassurance and any tricks or cautions to observe. Are there any left hand threads I need to watch out for. I plan to use an air impact wrench to loosen the bolt on the shaft without the need of locking things from roatating.

Obviously help will be appreciated.

Finally, is their a good source of relatively inexpensive electronic service manuals for this cart? I frankly prefer electronic. They never get dirty.

Thanks a lot

Sorry - guess I was not as clear as I could have been. It is a 99 TXT. Build date June, 99.

Thanks
