g1 belt and crank seals and?
I just installed my jakes lift on my g1. I'm going to replace both crank seals, dump some dry graphite into my drive clutch when its apart, and install my secondary clutch spring kit, an the 3 plastic boots on the secondary clutch while its apart. What other special tools will I need for this job other than a puller. Can't I replace the seals with the engine in the cart? I'm just going to replace seals to keep ahead of things I dont even know if its bad or not. Is there any other seal or parts I should replace. Any help or ideas on this stuff is great

Re: g1 belt and crank seals and?
You will need the puller bolt for the clutch side(I needed an impact gun to break the bolt) and either an impact gun or a makeshift piston stopper for t willhe fan side. You can do it without taking out the motor. You'll have to remove the gas tank and the battery. They are pretty simple. There are a few tutorials on how to do it somewhere on here.
You will need the puller for the secondary clutch as well. Last edited by Mrrogers24; 05-18-2012 at 05:03 PM.. Reason: More stuff |
