Re: lift kits
Most 6 in lifts will allow 22" tires. Check the mfgs suggestions, they usually say in the listings for the lift.

Re: lift kits
6" lift and 22" tires will put your floor-board roughly 16"-18" off the ground.Bigger is BetterEz-Go can run 22" with 4",Yamahas are a little lower and have smaller wheel-wells,so 6" is good for 22" tires.

Re: lift kits
Usually the lift amount is including the tires, so if you run 22 tires from 18 that is 2" lift, that means the lift itself is typically 4" to total 6". High is cool but also unstable if you trail ride, offset wheels are a must to widen the cart also. You can get 23s on most yamaha, but usually need to move the engine cradle back a little and mod the bumper if applicable to fit larger....unless you lift it really high.
Far as what kind the double arm lifts are nicer for offroad they ride better the ones with shocks fair amount better and have more travel. For campgrounds you don't really need the long travel lifts unless you want one. I lifted my cart with a welder long ago. It is 18" to the floor. It fits 22s that actually measure 23 with the 14psi I run in the rears. The fit is tight and I cut the rockers back. There is plenty of room in front, it is a G9. I also had to "adjust" the wheel wells in the rear to not rub. |
