Starter Generator on Clone
Can anyone tell me how to wire up the starter/generator on a motor swap. I don't use the stock setup. I think I only need the generator part of this. I'm confused if I need to use the stock voltage regular with setup with the started gen. Or how does this recharge your battery.

Re: Starter Generator on Clone
I believe you need the voltage regulator in order to get the correct volts (14v +) to charge the battery. I think it's just three wires on the VR - ground, to solenoid/battery, and from SG. I can check mine tonight and let you know.

Re: Starter Generator on Clone
(3) wires from VR 1.) Black - ground 2.) yellow connects to the wire coming from the S/G. 3.) red wire which provides the higher voltage to charge the battery goes to the top post on the solenoid. Hope this helps more.
