Took off governor now engine sputters
Hi this is my first post on the forum so bare with me. Today I bought a 1991 gas club car. I am planning on lifting it and other various things so I took the governor off, works fine until 1/4 throttle then it just sputters. I assume this is the rev limiter so I THINK I took it off but it still cuts out. Please help!

cart will run better if you leave gov on and adjust for more rpm
