G9 cart, what would you do?
Greetings from Norway fellas.
I just bought 2 G2’s (not g9) (4 stroke) over the pound here in Norway and looking for some good inputs on what to do with them. I’m thinking of getting them of the ground, bigger rims, paint job++ But I’m also wondering is the stock engine capable of handling the bigger rims and tires or do I need to replace it with something stronger? Best regards EB. |

Re: G9 cart, what would you do?
the engine is fine as long as its a good runner. I ran 22" tires with a 4" lift and i had no problem at all. Welcome also EB.

G2 is also a 4 stroke. G1's were 2 stroke.

Re: G9 cart, what would you do?
They should run 22s fine, 20s are cheaper but far less selection. ATV rated tires are much more durable unless you are running sand then no matter. You will have to work on the clutches a little put a umax spring (yamaha) in the secondary or an aftermarket maybe. Make sure clutches are working right and belt is new-ish. I'd recommend a kevlar HD from CPP its a 1.25 inch cogged belt that helps gear it a little lower. Can also cut the sheave or buy a cut one to give it a lower initial gear for towing and hills. Stock engine will go slow up steep hills but otherwise will drive around ok. Expect 30mph or near with no governor, though the G2 has a limiter it might be around 28, with 22 tires. Lifts you get what you pay for, if you offroad the higher/better lifts are worth it.
