repowering an easy go 3 wheel x brace.
Greetings all.
Mike here. I have received a free early 70 s 2 stroke easy go. The engine is only good for parts, anyone want some? Has anyone tried to repower one while adding the 2 speed transmission from a rototiller, giving one hi, low and reverse? Northern tool has a 212 cc electric start engine. Thoughts, laughter, etc.? Cheers Mike |

Re: repowering an easy go 3 wheel x brace.
I got a gas 1 last week to and it is 2 stroke. I have looked it over purty good and since the engine mount and all has to flex with the suspension, i dont see putting a standard transmission and regular engine in there and it working well.
I am fiquring on perhaps carefully removing the gas power train and putting it in the swap section and hope someone has a sparky or good power train for 1 to swap. If there was a way to use a ujoint from the trans to the rear axle, a regular engine and such could be made to work I think but without tying up a lot of time I don't have trying to find out how the input to the axle works I don't know what is there. |
