Key Switch alternative
Anyone put a different key switch in their club car other than universal one? I know i can get a privacy key switch from my club car dealer for $40 bucks but I see solutions much cheaper. What have you guys used?

Re: Key Switch alternative
It is a 2 pole switch ....So, anything will work. Check out the generic stuff at the local hardware or auto parts store. Any 3 or 4 pole will work too, ya just leave some blank.

Re: Key Switch alternative
Try this listing, just copy and past to ebay. 160306500575 I have two universal key switches, one club car which is on the cart, and one new universal ez-go switch. But that is the problem, they're universal so just about everyone else in Peachtree City has the same key. So I am trying to find something different for a little security other than popping $40 at the CC dealer for a privacy key.

Re: Key Switch alternative
Any keyed on-off switch will work if it can handle the "amps" put through it,
It might be a 48v system but it is on the low amp side of the system as opposed to the high or motor side. Anyone know what amps the solenoid draws? |

Re: Key Switch alternative
Is it long enough to match the club car socket? A cut key I hope and not generic? I guess need to "get in the zone". I bought a Yamaha switch because I likes the plastic/rubber grip on the keys but it was too short to fir on the CC.
