That little spring is the key. |

![]() Mine's still doing good and my dog is back to riding with me.
Now I have to figure out what to do about the dadgum fireworks that scare her to death. ![]() |

![]() I am having this same problem with my '85. I have BBQ'd the muffler thinking that I had it plugged up from running it a little bit rich with the oil/gas mix... about 1.75 oz oil (Klotz super techniplate) per gal of gas. I seen the pics in this thread and my set up is missing the spring that is in there... I'm sure that this is part of the problem. When I bought the cart, It had been newly rebuilt from the crank up and ran good, but had an after market air cleaner installed that keeps falling off and has sucked a little dirt into it - not a lot but it shouldn't have been any. I need to find a complete air intake/cleaner set up for it. I am going to get a compression gauge and check it as soon as I am able. Spark plug color looks good - maybe just a little rich from the oil.
Any other suggestions will be appreciated. Pit Bull |

![]() I'm still having a backfiring problem at low speed, I adjusted the pilot valve screw but still backfires. It appears to me that the throttle plate closes all the way. Could the valves need yo be adjusted? Its a 1997 EZGO ...any ideas

![]() I know this is an old post, but I am having the same issue with my 84 ezgo. I don't seem to have the spring on the throttle cable you guys were talking about. Is there any chance you guys still have pictures that you could show me?
