Help for Brother in law
My brother in law is having a real problem with his cart. Sort of like this guy: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...ed-96-txt.html
I don't know if the above problem was solved or not because maybe once he found the problem he quit the thread. My brother in law's cart has no fire. So he replaced the coil, nothing. He replaced the ignitor, nothing. Now he is down to the pulsar. He said that when he pulled the fan shroud there was considerable mud (dry dirt now) in there. So he, without pulling the fan, tried to clean out the whole area, which he did and still no spark. He said that there is a hole in the crank shaft. Is there supposed to be a whole or is there supposed to be a magnet in that whole. I have no idea since I have never seen a crank shaft but on a Briggs and Stratton engine, for instance, where the pulsar is in the flywheel and two magnets come together you get spark. Mind you I am guessing about the EZGO. But still? A hole (have no idea if it is round or square) doesn't make sense to me, but again I really know nothing about it. Just wondering if someone can shed some light on all this. Thanks guys. He has a 2001 TXT. |

34 visits, no replies. Guess most are like me and never had a peak at the crank.
