![]() Hello Ladies and Gents
I have a slight problem with my 2000 Club Car. The battery keeps going dead on me.I charge it up and a few days later it dies. I did some reading here and run some of the test that was recommended. I know I need a new battery will be getting one today or tomorrow. The other problem is the generator will only put out 11.5 volts with or without the battery connected. Tested the generator at the back plate and thats all I can get out of it is 11.5 volts. Pulled generator off, brushes are good Armature has been cleaned with an eraser. I had to do this thru the dust holes cause I could'nt get the bck cover off after removing the 2 long bolts and the brushes. is there something else in there that would hold the back plate on? Are there diodes inside that may be going bad? Back when I was young ,we would rebuid automotive generators and starters, but then there were no diodes and stuff to fuse with. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
