Drive spindle nuts do need attention like ezgo txt spindle nuts do. Yep, fairly common. Torque to 80 ft/lb. I often forget this on the forum, as i check them frequently, and am tuned to the unique noise they make compared to "real axle problems" (their "crunchy" sound on accel or braking is quite different than "crunchy gears" inside the axle). Actually, i am tuned to every noise yamahas ever make... And i am always 100% right at least 50% of the time.. Lol.

thanks for all of the info here! My noise went away by tightening the driver's side axle nut to 80 ft lbs, it was loose and that seems to be the cause of the noise. When I bought the cart, i changed the lube oil (with friction modifier and lucas hd oil stabilizer per previous recommendations here). I looked up my serial number and I actually have a 2009 Gas Drive (dealer said it was an '08 when i bought it a month ago).. I do have one question though, I have a white sticker on my transaxle but it is GAS and a 2009. Do i have reason to be concerned? Thanks!
