Default Alltrax xct 4800 or 48500 2010 ydre

I have a 2010 yamaha drive. I installed a rebuilt high speed motor, but the rest of the cart is stock. As of now im at 21 mph. Wanting 5-7 more mph, I'm thinking controller upgrade. 3 questions: 1-will an upgraded controller/solenoid/cables increase speed? 2-some re-wound motors say they are for stock moric controller only, so will an upgraded control burn my motor up? 3- if yes on controller for speed increase, alltrax xct 48400 vs 48500 for mph? Thanks!

Can you positively ID the motor you are asking about?

Shoot, I can't. Got the motor from Electrical Motor Products. Here's a pic, if that helps any.

Contact EMP and ask them if the motor will produce more rpms on XCT control and if yes ask which field should be used.

dont know about EMP in particular, but i suggest not saying anything about speeds of 25mph or above. some places will "clam-up" and not want to talk anymore.
