Can I get more performance out of a stock 2005?
Hi all. I have a decent running 2005 txt. I don't have the budget to throw a new performance motor in it and was wondering if there is a way to squeeze more performance out of it? My intention is to run 14 x 23's and a 6 " long travel lift.

You should be able to get low 20s with no problem. Read here. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/ezgo-...4-strokes.html

Re: Can I get more performance out of a stock 2005?
swapping your standard 36 degree driven clutch for a 28 degree will give You a considerable increase in torque for those tires and lift - enough that You won't notice the loss of power that going to a tire that big will give you. (If You keep your standard clutch, you WILL notice a significant loss of torque trying to turn tires that size, especially on hills) ... A combination of the 28deg driven clutch and a 1" shorter belt (see the "EZGO Gas Tech" section for more info on the belt needed) should come in at around $200, and "Bang for the Buck" is a HUGE value once You feel the difference it makes.
