Ezgo TXT 1998 Service Manual

I am looking for a service manual for my Ezgo TXT 1998 golf cart. My model has a seperate parking brake and i have yet to find a service manual which covers my year or has any refrrence to a cart with seperate parking brake. Any help is appreciated.

Is it a golf cart or a utility vehicle? More info would help.

Early utility's were sometimes fitted with a separate park brake, but not any TXT models as far as i am aware.

Hi thanks for responding. Its an Ezgo TXT golf cart, gas, 1998. It has a third pedal (parking brake, brake and accelerator) which is the handbrake. Also, i have not seen this in any documentation

Only thing that might help with the brakes is to find an early Hauler manual which will possibly show something about the separate park brake. Is it a pedal on the left of the footplate?

Yes, to the left of the main brake.

I wonder if someone in the past has removed the box and metal body of an MPT hauler and installed a buggy rear body on it!

Pictures and a manuacturers date code along with the serial number would help us to help you.

Are you just looking fo manuals for general maintenance and parts? If so, any TXT manual covering that year will do, as the smaller haulers were a TXT with a different rear setup for body and box.

Get the info i have asked for and maybe we can pin it down.

I think some Shuttle models had a separate park brake but i thought that was from 2005 up!

Cartmaster, you are probably right...wolf in sheeps clothing. Probably a Shuttle or Hauler frame, etc...with the older TXT plastics up top. Either that, or someone chopped and welded/bolted those pieces in from a dead donor vehicle. Look around in the engine bay for white tags on wires, and other parts. Many Textron parts have these tags and there are date codes on them, and would help to confirm if the carpet matches the drapes, so to speak.
