Re: What did you do to/for your EZGO today?
GK seems sketchy. They have a 25 cent diode listed for $28.
I installed HD springs on my 86 marathon. Original has 3 leaf and HD 5. I removed one to avoid harsh ride which worked well. The spring alone lifted the cart a full 2”. Already had a 4”’lift so fabricated 6” shock extensions. Some people say you don’t need shocks. So the manufacturer designed the cart with them, spent more money on installing something unneeded? Here's what I just posted on another thread about shocks on my cart... Just for a "FWIW" back when I switch from FLA's to Lithium, I had a 4-spring Leaf setup on my TXT. Once I lost the 350-lbs from going to Lithium riding my cart was like riding a Harley hard tail!! I removed two leaf's from each one (the smallest and next to smallest) thus leaving a 2-spring leaf on each side. Way better ride. I just broke the passenger side shock. So, I removed it and the last "outting" (I hunt with it and driving slow is the name of the game) I went on I didn't notice a significant difference. When time allows I'll remove the drivers side shock and test drive it to see if I even want to put new shocks on. |

I finally received and installed a Plum Quick Barracuda. I have some fine tuning to do still, but it is a great improvement.
