Reconditioned motor controler Vs. new
I have a 2000 CC Series 48 volt all stock. I am looking to upgrade the motor controler. One of the forum sponsers sells a reconditioned Curtis controller that has been upgraded to 400 Amp. It is about $150 cheaper than a new alltrax. I am on a budget and like the idea of supporting the sponsers. What do you guys think about the pro and cons of going this route.

Rebuilt controllers don't have a very good reputation. If it comes wit a good warranty and support I say go for it. Might keep your eye out in the for sale section for a used Alltrax. Can't go wrong with an Alltrax.

I have heard good things about the Logisystems controllers and they are economical compared to others.

Re: Reconditioned motor controler Vs. new
I just completely rebuile my club car. Had lots of trouble so I replaced everything...and I mean everything but the motor. new mcor, new wiring harness, new 4 g wires, Alltrax controler, solinoid, f/r switch and micro switches and new 48v converter to 12 v for radio and lights. I used sponsors too. If you look at their ads there are codes like BGW that you can put in the cupon code section when you are checking out and I got free shipping and 10% off. Couldn't beat It. good luck with your project.
