Jerking or Surging
New to the board, there is alot of good info on here. I have a 98 EZGO that jerks or surges at lower speeds. It runs great at higher speeds. I use it at the dragstrip and I keep it tuned up plus it got a new carb last season. One thing I haven't done is adjusted the valves and from what I see on here maybe I should ck them. Any tricks on doing that? What do they set at? Any help on the jerking problem would be appreciated. I tried posting this once and apparantly screwed up so if it shows up twice you'll know what happened.

Re: Jerking or Surging
Sounds like what I had. Check to make sure that the throttle switch is activating before the carb is opening. My cable was out of adjustment and the car would go all out or nothing. It was like having an on-off switch for a throttle. It is probably jerking because of this.
