96Gas DS won't start. just backfires.
Our 96 gas DS was running fine when it died and wouldn't restart. Towed home and will turn over but only backfire through carb and exhaust. Even with starting fluid, it will only backfire. It is like the timing is way off. Do the engines have a problem with flywheel keys shearing? I would like some ideas before I tear down the engine. Thanks for any help.

If I were you, i'd check to see if the spark plug is sparking or see if the plug is fouled in anyway.

Spark plug is not fouled and is sparking in free air.

Found the intake valve had carbon deposits on the stem causing it to stick open. Thanks for the help.
