Cart Won't move some of the time
Hi guys! I am new to the cart world and I have a 2005 CC Presedent that I recently purchased. I noticed when I took the cart for a test drive, that it would hesitate sometimes when you pressed the go pedal. Now that I have had the cart for a month or two, the problem seems to be getting worse. If you keep letting off the pedal and pressing it again, it will eventually start going. Any idea what might be wrong or where I should start looking? Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Cart Won't move some of the time
Thanks Tom! not sure about the clicking but will check it out tomorrow. I can tel you that it feels like it is going to move sometimes and then it just stops. The local cart store told me that it was a safety device and that is why it had the hesitation. Now that it is getting worse, I think they were feeding me a line. I will check it out tomorrow and post a response.

Have you been leaving the charger on the batteries until it shuts itself off ?

Re: Cart Won't move some of the time
Ok...I checked it out again today. When I press the "Go" pedal, no go and no clicking. Am I safe to assume it is a Solenoid? If so, how do I tell which one and where are they? Are they expensive? i do leave the charger on until it shuts itself off after each time I take the cart out.

Re: Cart Won't move some of the time
its a 48 volt cart right? unless its a reagan cart you,ll only have 1 soleniod otherwise 2 of them.....follow the pos battery cable from #1 battery thats the soleniod..........now you can jack the rear of the cart up and jump the large post on the soleniod with a peice of 6 gage cable put cart in gear and hit pedal if cart runs either soleniod is bad or micro switch that activates it.........about 95% of the time its the soleniod....................

Re: Cart Won't move some of the time
Could be a bad MCOR have seen them act the same way as a bad solenoid, so check it well.
