Back rest conversion '86 marathon
I need to repair the individual backrests on my '86 Marathon, and want to replace with a one piece spanning the width of the front seat. Is there a one piece from a later model that works well, or should I plan on building my own? I saw somewhere that a txt backrest bolted up, but from pictures I've seen,I don't see how that can work, because the txt backs look like they have a recess for the riser posts, and my marathon has a flat plate attachment that wouldn't fit the recess.

I did my own one piece backrest... I might have done a txt backrest, but with a rollcage, mine was a good fit. 1" square tubing fits the post holders in the frame. From there you would fab the rest.

Re: Back rest conversion '86 marathon
Thanks. I guess I'll just build my own too.
