this one is mounted to back of motor towards rear of cart. It is the round one. Looks to be an easy fix.

Ok here's an update. Fixed a small hole in muffler, installed a new fuel pump yesterday. Rode it a few miles and parked it overnight to look for leaks. No keaks , great! Now after riding an extended period of time and then going down to an idle I occasionally develop a backfire. I assume I am getting air from somewhere. Any suggestions? My throttle is set about the same when I give it acceleration at 1/4 pedal to full throttle. Is a linkage adjustment in order?

Yes, you need to make sure that the throttle plate is closing completely before the pedal switch cuts off. A backfire can blow out your crank seals so double check that asap

I have adjusted the linkage and now it closes completely. I lubed all connecting points and moving parts details to follow.

The only fault I can find is that after riding full throttle for a fixed period of time, the throttle will stick in the open position for length of time or if you press the brake it will release. Is this a return spring of sort?

Double check in that manual but it sounds like something is binding up
