1980 three wheel ezgo with issues

Hi everyone my name is Seth. I'm new to this forum and I need some help. I'm new to the golf cart world and was given a 1980 ezgo three wheeler. It runs but it has some issues and I have no idea where to start. It runs great in reverse right off the bat but almost seems like it's not getting enough fuel in forward it doesn't go anywhere the motor just runs.. You can feel it go into forward but then that's it.. Until it gets warmed up ( spend a lot of time going in reverse) then it runs good with a few back fires. What did you guys think? I would appreciate any input you guys got thanks.

After a compression test, I'd look at the timing.

Running better in reverse, and better after it's warm screams crankshaft seals.
