Been hearing a lot about Fox podium shocks. Also looking at you rear lift I think it may be possible to move the top shock mounts inward at a small angle to the bottom mount. Thinking this may help with articulation and using a longer shock.

If I find a replacement I may save them to build a trailer for the cart, or may sell as they are still very solid.

I've got 18 1/2 inch shocks on the rear of my G16. Think they came off a Kawasaki brute force. You just need to decide how many inches you want the shock to be, then do a search on Ebay for that length shock. Just don't buy those cheap Chinese shocks with the reservoirs, or you will be sorry. They are total junk.

What lift do you have on your 22? I've just installed the Rohx 6" spindle on mine and running 23's with major tread. Not rubbing at all, with plenty of clearance. I also put on the Jakes HD springs. Are you running with a rear seat? If so, I would not take those Jakes springs off. Cart would be dangerous without them.

I have a Jake's LT lift with rear seat. I also do hauling with mine.

I don't have jakes springs? Also, why would it be dangerous? Those linked ones would be perfect length if I keep the bar mounted on.

Anyone else know why Stuff4Mason would think replacing the stock shocks would be dangerous with a rear seat?

Maybe due to the weight load. My G16 originally had a read seat and HD shocks. If you were to change them out with ATV type shocks it probably would not support 2 passengers on the rear seat thus causing the suspension to sag and tires rubbing. It would also handle pretty bad. You would need an equivalent weight load shocks to match stock HD to work. I think ATV shocks are not made for that weight load. Car shocks or air shocks may be an alternative. I'm still searching myself.

Yes, Mrneon is correct. You need stiff shocks on the rear to balance out the load on the car when you have rear passengers. If not, your front steering can get out of control and thus potentially hurt everyone on the cart at a higher rate of speed. Especially going down hill. ATV shocks are fine without a load on the back.
