Kewl.. what about grease? I'm sure it was greased when serviced when purchased and then removed with basically no mileage ..

Is it the roller clutch or the weighted clutch? And if its on your work bench, you can grease it there, and clean any mess or over greasing up before you install.

But I'd start with a pump and a half!! To me, under greasing is safer than to much!!

I haven't had the cover off yet to see if one or the other.. I honestly don't know what year it came off of.. I sent the link to Dave and he said it would work, looks identical to my old one other than the outer metal shield is longer and has a black rubber plug dead center for the bolt.

I think that is the roller clutch, a touch better than the early model, in my opinion!!

You'll like it!!

Take the cover off and check the 3 rollers for flat spots on them. Replace the rollers if their not perfectly round!! Not very expensive!!

Check with Block to see if the bolt is the same!! Or CG!!

The "taller cover" thing was just that, only the cover. No worries. All that style clutch used the same bolt. Sounds like smooth sailing.

Mike got the shaft collars in place and it stiffened up the front end alot..tried using the 3rd hole like you did, it toed the tires out at the top bad..moved to the outer and tires seem to look pretty good.
