I'm not sure on the g16 but on my g1 had no switched power so I had to install a toggle switch just make sure you fuse the the power wire

You can install the ground and hot (red) with a fuse between of course, directly to the battery. But install a switch between the yellow and the battery. This way, when you are not using your cart for a while it doesn't try to keep your memory of the radio and eventually run the battery low. You will loose your memory settings on the stereo when you turn the switch off, but at least the battery isn't dead after sitting for a couple of weeks/months..

Another idea is to install a cheap autozone media player in the cart. Something like this: http://www.autozone.com/stereo-speak...99992_0_215380

They look like regular car stereo's, but they don't have mechanics in them, which use very little power. I bought this one and installed in a EZ GO. Played it for over 8 hours, without ever starting the cart and it depleted the battery by only 13%. You can either put your USB dongle in it, or bluetooth your phone to it to play music. It also has am/fm. Just no cd player. That's the key.

That's a good idea for a cart, May have to do one myself. Much easier then wiring a head unit and speakers too.
