Check to make sure everything in the intake is sealed from the air box lid all the way to the intake book check for any cracks does the choke help or hurt it if it helps it's leaking air somewhere crank seals on these are highly suspect as for the bucking on start in inspect clean and lube clutches with dry lithium lube also may want to check compression if all that checks out put the spark plug right when it bogs if it's wet it's a ignition issue if it's dry it's a fuel issue

I second that. Bogging at high speed is a fuel issue more often than not. You may want to try a new fuel pump.

Have you bbq'd the muffler?

I had one a few years ago that needed a carb. Brand new carb, premixed the gas, and still spit and sputtered at wide open. Next bonfire I had, and threw the muffler in there to burn all the old oil out, and ran like a top!

Sounds weird, but there should be a sticky here somewhere about it...
