Default Possible rear axle conversion.

G1 - 2 - 3 - 8 - 9 have an axle that is put together at the factory. The axle is assembled with the bearing - retainer plate - hub and then the hub is welded to the axle shaft making one complete piece.
Has anyone upgraded there rear axle to the later model axles that are separate pieces. and the hub has a large nut that holds it to the axle shaft?

Default Re: Possible rear axle conversion.

While retaining the rest of the original older Yamaha differential? Not that I have heard of.
