Default 1991 Yamaha

I recently bought a 1991 Yamaha golf cart. It was garage kept for several years only used to go from home to clubhouse. It ran great at first. Now once it runs for a while and you stop it seems to have trouble getting enough fuel to turn the engine over. I’m thinking maybe a fuel pump or fuel line issue? Any advice would be great! If I do need to replace the lines and fuel pump I need to know what model the cart is so I can buy the correct parts. I found the serial number but nothing else. Maybe a G2? I have attached pictures of the cart and serial number.
Thanks for the help!
Michael

According to the serial number your cart is a 1992 G9, usually the easiest way to tell the difference between a 2 or a 9 is the steering colume color, the G2 had a white colume and the G9 had a black.

I'd start with a good carb cleaning take it apart and pull the Jets out make sure none are plugged and blow air through all the passages you can check fuel pump by pulling off the fuel hose at the carb and point the hose into a bottle or something to catch the fuel and turn the motor over you should have a nice pulsing stream also may be a good idea to set valve lash and toss in a new spark plug

That is one well kept G9. Hang on to it! Take the fuel pump apart and clean it with some carb cleaner. Just lay everything out the way you take it apart on a towel. Also, remove the fuel filter in the bottom of the tank and cut it out (just the paper filter part on the cap, you'll see) if it's still there and install an inline filter on that line going to the fuel pump. Check the tank for trash while your in there too. If that fuel filter has deteriorated it's probably all in the bottom of the tank.

Thanks for the replies! If I do have to replace the fuel pump. Where do you guys recommend purchasing from? J38-24410-00-00. Is this the part number I’m looking for?

I find some pumps that are square and say they are for a G9. But then I see the pumps for the G2 that looks exactly like the one on my cart. Just want to make sure I get the right one if need be.
