Default Let that be a lesson to you!

My new 85 Marathon GAS was very loud and the previous owner had modified the muffler by removing the small diameter tail pipe and welding on a 2" tail pipe in its place (also bored the hold bigger in the muffler). I thought this was the cause so I ordered another muffler. Installed it and not much, if any , change in loudness. Well, I decided to look at the engine side of the exhaust and a nut was missing from one of the bolts that hold the exhaust pipe on. Duh. That'll teach me.
