1998 TXT -- ignition switch
Hello everyone,
I've been reading the forum for a while but newly registered. Picked up my first cart a while back. It has the 295 motor which I had to do a partial rebuild on due to previous owner running it without oil........ugh My question is regarding adding a radio and how to connect to the ignition switch. The switch only has two posts which only have power when pressing the gas pedal. I found a four post switch but wasn't sure this is really what's needed or if it would work for adding accessories. The previous owner added lights but didn't use a kit so accessory setup on the ignition or otherwise. |

Re: 1998 TXT -- ignition switch
The 4 post 3 position switches are basically 2 switches in one...... Ezgo ran operating voltage through one side and 12v accessories (mainly lights) through the other side.

Re: 1998 TXT -- ignition switch
Thanks for the info. However, to be sure I'm reading the diagram correctly..... The two existing ignition wires attach to the B and I posts and battery positive to B1??
